Back At It

Well I have finally been spending some time in the forge again. Thanks to all of the customers who have waited for me to complete their work and to those that are still waiting. It always feels good to spend some time creating. Here is the latest project that I finished up. Jerry wanted something that represented the moon phases. I found a drawing on the internet and modified it to his liking. It shows the phases of the moon with the (incorrect) zodiac and season correlation. I like the way it came out. Hopefully I will get to see it in place on the gable of his house.

Summer has come fast here in Maine and it’s already time to think about next seasons firewood and getting the roof on the forge fixed. I have had a good Spring considering I was not open at the forge for most of it. People have seen my truck there and keep stopping to say Hello and buy stuff anyhow. I can’t seem to keep anything in the showroom for long. But alas I am not complaining. It would be a little disheartening if people didn’t want to buy anything. I will not be keeping regular hours this summer. I will be available by appointment or chance. It’s getting hard to work around the leaks in the roof so I have to address that issue before to long. If you do need to get in touch with me, e-mail is probably the best way.
